This site is dedicated to my personal landscape and documentary work, undertaken both in Britain and abroad. For 32 years I was employed by the Museum of London to document the city for exhibitions, publications and the museum’s archive. A number of these pictures can be viewed on the Museum of London website and further examples of my work from both museum and personal projects can be seen on the urban landscape website. Another project I was involved in, re-photographing a continuous panorama of both banks of the River Thames between London Bridge and Greenwich/Isle of Dogs, can be seen here.
Mike Seaborne's colour images of fading London shop fronts are both beguiling photographic compositions and poignant documents of disappearing urban forms.
